EMCORE is a vertically-integrated manufacturer that pioneered the MOCVD (Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition)
process for both the development and production of many of the compound semiconductor-based materials and devices in
use today. EMCORE owns and operates a world-class 7,000 square foot Indium Phosphide (InP) semiconductor wafer
fabrication plant at our corporate headquarters in Alhambra, California.
EMCORE’s vertical integration and highly-linear fiber optics capability positions us for leadership in the development of
enabling technologies for current and future high-speed, telecommunications, wireless, data center, broadband access,
optical sensing and LiDAR applications. EMCORE’s latest innovations are being realized with the design of chip and
component-level products for emerging optical sensing applications including Frequency Modulation Continuous
Wavelength (FMCW) LiDAR for autonomous vehicle driving.
EMCORE continues to be a leader in broadband signal transport with our breakthrough Linear Externally Modulated Laser
TM
(L-EML ) laser technology incorporated into our transmitters achieving broad market acceptance. L-EML technology
features a unique optical device innovation at its core, invented, developed, and manufactured exclusively at EMCORE.

to continue to be a technology and market leader in Broadband Access and Satellite Communication, with an emerging
