The EMCORE-OrionTM series is a state-of-the-art, fiber optic gyro-based IMU and Inertial Navigation System (INS) platform incorporating EMCORE’s proprietary integrated optics devices that enhance performance and reliability at lower cost than competing systems. The options for IMU or INS operation provides customers the flexibility to choose the performance level tailored to their application.
The EMCORE-OrionTM EN-1000/2000 IMU design provides lower noise and greater stability than competitor IMUs at a significantly lower volume. The low SWaP makes it an ideal inertial navigation platform for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), manned aircraft, rotorcraft, dismounted soldier applications and more.
