Six Sigma is a proven approach to improving business processes based on statistical analysis. The Six Sigma methodology is based on five steps. Define – Measure – Analyze – Improve – Control, known as DMAIC. It uses a set of empirical and statistical management methods and creates a special infrastructure of people within EMCORE who are experts in these methods.
EMCORE is driving towards a goal that by the end of 2016, 100% of our professionals are Six Sigma White Belts, 30% will be Green Belts, and 15% Black Belts or Master Black Belts.
