Critical to precision control of a camera platform are outstanding bias stability, exceptionally low noise, and higher vibration tolerance with reduced jitter to prevent errors while horizontally leveling aerial cameras as they focus or zoom in on select targets. EMCORE’s quartz MEMS technology used in our SDG1400 and QRS116 inertial gyros, and SDI500 Tactical IMU, and EMCORE’s Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG) technologies used in our TAC-450 series IMUs, and EMCORE-HawkeyeTM series FOGs and EN-300 FOG IMU, exhibit these characteristics making them ideal options for a wide variety of camera stabilization applications. EMCORE’s equipment is utilized in the Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) in the targeting ball on board of the Predator UAV.
